52 Week Challenge - Perfectly Imperfect | League City Lifestyle Photographer

This week's theme is perfectly imperfect which was actually really difficult for me.  Not because I couldn't think of anything, but rather because "Perfectly Imperfect"  describes my life to a tee right now.  My house is a crazy shambles.  Most of my ideas involved some sort of mess found in my house with the kids playing in the background.  However, I ended up just documenting things as they presented themselves.

My precious Crazy #2 is so sweet and thoughtful and artistic.  He is always making some sort of mess art piece, and he getss so passionate about it.  He has to have certain items for making it and then a story rises out of the making of the art about the characters he makes.  This time he decided he needed to send some popcorn to brighten someone's day.  First he had to go get a box from the garage and then paint it and then pack it.  He made bows/ribbon out of paper (although I think he gave those up in the end).  Then he added some coupons that he cut out too all to send to someone he loves.  It's not the perfect pretty package or even the perfect gift, but it is so the perfect thought and heart.

Next up my same Crazy #2 came down with pants on backwards.  I said how are you going to go potty.  He proceeded to pull them down and back up while looking at me like I was crazy to ask such a question.  Yep, he wore them to school like that.  What can I say - at least he dresses himself.

Meanwhile, Sweetness just refuses to wear clothes at all.  She throws those clothes off the minute I turn around and runs around with that sweet belly hangin' out everywhere and her hair hanging in her face.  Is there anything better than baby bellies?   (Ha - as I write this, she is taking her clothes off again. As if on cue.  She cracks me up.)

Honestly,  I think that "Perfectly Imperfect" perfectly describes...

life with 3 kids and a dog.  But isn't it perfect!

  1. This makes me smile!! You have a very beautiful life and I bet you wouldn't have it any other way!

  2. The thing that I love most about this post and these photos is how you have documented your life RIGHT NOW. They will become priceless as your kids grow older!!! Well done!

  3. You've inspired me! I rarely shoot life with my kids. I absolutely loved looking through your blog today. Gorgeous images!

  4. I think I have been inspired as well. In fact, I just got my camera out and placed it on the counter so that I have it at arms reach to capture some of the perfectly imperfect in our house as well. I loved reading what you wrote! The story of your son is classic!

  5. I think these are "perfectly perfect," actually! I love them. :)

  6. The black and white one with the book took my breath away! All are gorgeous!
