Now he has started to leave me behind. :( He just can't wait for me to be able to read him the next chapter, so he reads on. Quite frankly, I'm very confused about the story right now because I have missed so much. Yes, he still loves for me to read when I can, and I think he takes a good deal of pleasure in the fact that he knows more about what is going on in the book that I do. I love that he truly has found a passion for reading now. I love that I rarely have to remind to do his nightly reading. He usually flies right past his 30 minute requirement. I love to see him fall in love with characters and have such a vested interest in them. I can see the wheels turning as he reads all about the heroics of his favorite pals. I can only imagine that each night he imagines himself a great demigod fighting a minotaur. :) Battle on my sweet boy!
The cool thing about life stories each month is that a group of wonderful photographers all do it on the same day and link to one another. So now, follow the circle to see all the great stories until you end up right back here. Up next - Anelle Richardson of Ottawa.
My kids loved learning about greek mythology and stuff like that at that age. Whenever we watch Jeopardy and there's a category like that, they get them ALL right...and my husband and I get ZERO. Haha. These are GREAT photos!
ReplyDeleteLove how intent he is! I'll have to look into those books for my kiddos. That's sweet of you to just read off where he left off. I'd make my kids hear it twice so I would know what was going on. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love how invested he in his books. I hope my kids love to read as much as he does.
ReplyDeleteLOVE!! My kids loved those books too. Such great storytelling, and really exciting which is perfect for boys :)
